We are continuing to see calls returning congestion signals prior to reaching the IIG voice network. This is prodonantly seen with calls established from mobile phones but is being seen in other circumstances too.
The problem appears to be between Teir 1 carrier networks and is being caused by unprecedented load resulting from the work force's move to home. Each carrier is reviewing what can be done to help at this time. We have confirmed that calls are failing prior to reaching our equipment, despite having ample capacity on our interconnects.
It is important to understand that resolving these issues fully will take some time and we expect to continue seeing congestion problems for the forseeable future.
If you experience this while calling, try calling to/from a fixed line service where that is available. While this is not guarenteed, we have observed less congestion on these networks.
If you have any concerns or wish to discuss how this may impact you, please feel free to contact us.
