The Opal Factory is owned and operated by a family partnership who have mined and cut opals for over 30 years. The Opal Factory outlet in Cairns is highly respected for its high quality product at very competitive prices. The opal rough (uncut) is moved from the opal fields to the Opal Factory's workshop were it is cut and polished. Part of the opal is displayed in the showroom for retail sale, and part is prepared for wholesale trade. The range of opals includes fine gem quality pieces through to commercial trades. The Opal Factory workshop and showroom facilities are open to the public Monday to Saturday from 9.00am to 5.00pm. Trade, investors and collectors are welcome. |
