Tomcats

Ok, I'll show my true colours. I'll heartily recommend any film with a nightmarish breast feeding and birthing sequence and I'll laugh out loud at a suitably presented sequence involving a runaway cancer ridden testicle.

And Jake Busey (son of Gary) can plays a self loving, prick of a man as often as a he likes, especially if there's a wonderous line included about dicks and a particular brand of lipstick.

Tomcats follows a tried and tested formula. A bunch of males vow to not get married and put up a bet - last one to get hitched gets the pool and that prize grows to half a million American dollars!

One gets married and suspects his wife of being a lesbian. Another is gay, another marries a horror of a woman and that leaves two, Michael (Jerry O' Connell) and Kyle (Jake Busey). Michael acquires a large and scary gambling debt and conspires with Natalie (Shannon Elizabeth) to get Kyle to consent to marry Natalie so that Michael can pay off his debt.

Of course Michael them falls for Natalie. Tomcats is vivid and irreverent and firmly placed in the satire mould although that would depend on how generous you might be in your description of satire.

It's all over the place with extended sequences which are wholly gratuitous but I'd imaging that it would be hard to successfully write bouncing testicles into a serious screen play.

And Kyle will be a terrific role model for anyone out there wanting to be a complete arshole.
