"GULLS"
Directed by Lynn Cropp
"GULLS confronts its audience both in subject matter
and style. A richly humorous, perceptive and deeply
moving play about love, frustration,  guilt, and courage.
Frances comes home to care for her brother Bill to
find an old flame is ignited with Dan. Molly the nosy
but helpful neighbour may stir the pot, but she is also
there to pick up the pieces. A delightful ensemble
piece for two men 35-ish, one woman 35-ish and an
older lady. The role of larrikin Bill is unique in that he
breaks down the fourth wall and speaks to the audience.
Two other people are also on stage operating stylised
seagulls on poles swooping over the beach."
Auditions will be held for the second 2009 season production
"GULLS"
at the Rondo Theatre on 19th and 20th April 2009 at 7.00 pm.
Perusal scripts are available from Kevin Shorey & Co. Grafton St.
