Definitions
The "Provider" is 'Internet Information Group' (IIG) also trading as 'Tableland Network Services'.
The "Customer" is that specified on the Customer Information Form.
The "Service" means an ADSL access to the Internet and/or the Provider's network, including computer resources, disk storage and computer communication facilities.
The "Account" means the customer's right to use the Service.
The "Commencement of Service date" means, the date filled by the Customer on the front of the User Information Form, or the first date of use of the Service.
Application and variation of these terms
These terms and conditions suppliment and modify the General Terms, Conditions and Acceptable Use Policy to form the terms on which Internet Information Group provides ADSL services to its customers, modified by any written contract between Internet Information Group and its customers in any particular case. The terms so modified constitute the agreement in its entirety and supersede prior agreements. Internet Information Group may modify these terms as applying to any agreement, the pricing structure for any Service or the terms of the operation by general notice on a page of the Internet referred to on the Internet Information Group Home Page, and any use after that publication will constitute an acceptance of that modification.
1. Minimum Total Commitment
For services listed with:
- six month contract, the minimum total commitment is no less than six times the monthly rental for the chosen service, plus the cost of initial connection and any excess charges incurred.
- twelve month contract, the minimum total commitment is no less than twelve times the monthly rental for the chosen service, plus the cost of initial connection and any excess charges incurred.
- twenty four month contract, the minimum total commitment is no less than twenty four times the monthly rental for the chosen service, plus the cost of initial connection and any excess charges incurred.
In the event of early cancellation, the remainder of your total commitment falls due immediately.
2. Provisions relating to supply of CPE Equipment
If we supply you with CPE Equipment, you acknowledge and agree that:
- we supply the CPE Equipment to you with ownership title transferring upon full payment being received.
- we will arrange for the CPE Equipment to be delivered at the premises specified in the Service Application Form. Configuration and installation is NOT include in the standard service;
- the CPE Equipment is supplied by us, and your possession and use of the CPE Equipment are subject to the title and our other rights and you have no legal or other interest in the CPE Equipment other than under this Agreement;
3. Use of the Service
Internet Information Group has agreed to provide you, and you agree to purchase, the service as requested in the Service Application Form and in accordance with:
- the Specific Terms and Conditions set out on this page; and
- the general Terms, Conditions and Acceptable Use Policy; http://www.iig.com.au/tcaup.html; and
- any other service descriptions and conditions that we agree with you.
In the event of any inconsistency between the General Terms and any other provision of the Agreement, the General Terms will prevail to the extent of that inconsistency.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate the service in the event of a breach of this agreement. Where a service is terminated, the Minimum Total Commitment as described in section 1 will apply.
4. Cancellation
Written notice of your intent to cancel a service is required no less than 14 days prior to the date of cancellation. No other form of notice will be accepted.
5. Miscellaneous Charges
- A fee of $120.00 applies to an application for a new service. This includes an existing service being relocated to another address.
- A fee of $60.00 applies to a transfer of an existing service from another service provider.
- A fee of $60.00 applies to an application for a change of speed.
- Any change of plan where a change of wholesale supplier is required will be processed as a transfer and incur the appropriate $60.00 fee. Where a pre-existing contract is in force, a change of wholesale supplier (and therefore the change of plan) may be rejected.
- We use various wholesale supplier to provide a service to you. No contact is to be established by you to any wholesale supplier. Any call made directly to a wholesale supplier may incur a minimum $100 service fee;
- Fees for call-out and installation are charged on time and materials used;
Customer Transfer Authority
By completing and signing the application form, you are agreeing to transfer your DSL service from your current supplier to Internet Information Group.
The terms of this transfer are:
- Internet Information Group will supply your DSL service from the date the transfer takes effect. You will be notified when this happens;
- you will pay Internet Information Group for all charges associated with the service from the date this transfer takes effect; Your new contract with Internet Information Group will start from that date;
- you will still be responsible to your current DSL supplier for any charges incurred and/or billed up to the date the transfer takes effect;
- Internet Information Group may refuse or cancel your service on the basis of a credit assessment of you;
- after the transfer, you may not be able to receive certain benefits you receive from your current DSL supplier (eg discounts or specific product enhancements);
- you authorise Internet Information Group to act on your behalf to transfer your DSL service;
- your DSL service will remain active with your current DSL supplier until the transfer takes place;
- you will need to contact your current DSL supplier about any faults with your DSL service until this transfer takes place;
- you may experience an outage in your DSL service of up to 4 hours whilst the transfer takes place; and
- you acknowledge that Internet Information Group depends on other suppliers to provide the DSL service and the ability of Internet Information Group to provide the DSL service to you may be affected by other suppliers, which is beyond the control of Internet Information Group.
You agree as follows:
- you are the account holder of the DSL service(s) listed on the application, or are authorised by the account holder to transfer this service to Internet Information Group;
- the information provided in the application form is true and correct;
- you consent to us providing your personal information to our suppliers for the purpose of providing you with the service.
- you have read and understood the terms of this transfer;
- you understand that it is your responsibility to check the terms of your contract with your current DSL supplier to determine if there will be any consequences under that contract as a result of this transfer (such as an early termination payment).

- Internet Information Group will notify you that the transfer of your DSL service has been completed within 10 working days of the transfer taking place.
